Mired in plummeting polls and droves of GOP defections, Donald Trump is
turning to his own supporters for advice on what to do next for his
flailing campaign.
Despite a wave-making shakeup that brought a conservative news chief
into the Trump camp, the mogul’s team sent a mass email to supporters
Wednesday, asking them for much-needed guidance.
“In JUST three months, you get to vote for the next President of the
United States, but in order to make sure Trump wins, we need YOUR
immediate input on his critical general election strategy moving
forward,” the jaw-dropping email stated.
“We face the fight of our lifetime. We The People are going up against
Hillary Clinton’s monstrous machine of elites, lobbyists, and special
interests who have sent our country down a very dark road. To win this
fight, Trump is turning to his most trusted advisers: the American
People,” the email said, before providing a link to a questionnaire that
actually polls Trump backers for suggestions.
The “Trump Campaign Strategy Survey,” asks 30 questions, including:
“What issues are most important to you? Should Trump spend more of his
time going after Hillary’s record and her positions on the issues?
Should Trump invest more time and resources in YOUR state? and Should
Trump focus more on positive or negative advertising?
The bizarre survey underscores how clueless the mogul’s campaign truly
appears to be with only three months to go before Election Day.
Trump, who is trailing Clinton in a slew of national and swing-state
polls after a weeks of gaffes and missteps, shook up his camping
Wednesday for the second time, bringing in Breitbart News Executive
Chairman Stephen Bannon as campaign CEO and promoting pollster Kellyanne
Conway to campaign manager.
And in June, he fired campaign manager Corey Lewandowski and replaced
him with Paul Manafort in anticipation of a pivot for the general
election that never occurred.
