New 'high-five' selfie craze is the most efficient way to break your expensive phone this season

For those of you who cynically believed selfies were just a passing fad and would never take off, prepare to eat your words.
Selfies are in fact constantly evolving, though whether for better or worse is up for debate.
There was the duck face craze which was apparently usurped by the fish gape. Then, of course, there are no make-up selfies plus something called the T-Rex hand which all the cool kids do.
Now selfies have upped their game (or just got even sillier depending on where you stand).
It's no longer enough to pout fiercely and add ALL the filters.

No. The 'self high five selfie' is now here.

The pioneering mind behind this new selfie is North Carolina State University engineer Seth Schneider, who shared his successful selfie on Saturday, the MailOnline reports.

Seth later revealed how he was just having a bit of fun while safely shut in for Hurricane Matthew.

For those of you who were wondering if there are any shortcuts to getting a successful selfie high-five photo, he added he took it without the timer on, saying:
"There's no fun in that. With this you gotta push the button and be speedy."
If you are tempted into doing this, then maybe have a dry-run with a pillow. Those phones aren't cheap.

A source close to the 27-year-old singer told HollywoodLife.com: "[Chris Brown] knew it wouldn't last. No diss to Drake but he ain't man enough for Rihanna.
