Photo: Meet the girl who thought hair removal cream was shampoo

Always check the label.
That's the advice from two sisters after one had a very unfortunate reaction to a bottle of hair removal cream.
But is everything in this picture as it seems?
Twitter user Kayla Connors, from Massachusetts, uploaded a picture of her sister to the social network site after she had apparently confused Nair hair removal cream with shampoo.
The funny photograph shows her sister, who has not been named, looking straight-faced with a shiny bald head.
Her only remaining hair appears to be on the side of her head.

Photos: Couple's £36,000 dream wedding turns into nightmare after accident meant they had to wed in HOSPITAL

Bride Steph Murphy’s £36,000 dream wedding took a nightmarish twist, just two days before the ceremony.
With a Croatian palace booked for the nuptials , 40 relatives and friends had joined Steph and hubby-to-be James Goss for a memorable day that had taken 18 months to plan.
Everything was in place, every detail taken care of – and eager James had even agreed to take dance lessons so he could make Steph proud at the reception party.
But disaster struck on a pre-wedding cruise when James slipped and snapped his leg at an extreme angle.
He was confined to hospital for five days. There was no way the wedding at the atmospheric Sponza Palace in Dubrovnik could go ahead.

"But then they woke us up at 5am to take blood from him, so that kind of ruined the moment!
“Getting married in the hospital was making the best of what seemed like a disastrous situation.
“But it made me realise what mattered was not the venue or the cost – it was just us being together and showing how much we cared for each other.

Brazilian drug lord serves his time in a 'VIP cell' that had a library, plasma TV, 3 rooms and an en-suite bathroom

A Brazilian drug lord serving an eight-year prison sentence, spent his time behind bars in a 'VIP cell' - complete with a plasma television, a kitchen, wardrobes, conference room, air conditioning, tiled walls, furniture, and library - complete with a DVD collection that included all episodes of a television show about Pablo Escobar.
Jarvis Chimenes Pavao, one of South America's deadliest and most feared drug lords was sentenced to 8 years in prison after being found guilty of money laundering charges and was locked up in Tacumb prison in Asuncion, Paraguay, where he lived a life of luxury. See more photos after the cut...

But Pavao's cushy life behind bars came to an end at his own doing, after officers began to suspect he was planning to detonate a bomb in order to smash through one of the jail walls and escape.
Investigators flooded the Brazilian's cell in search of the explosives on Tuesday night, but instead found his luxury prison pad.
After the raid, Pavao's lawyer said the lifestyle her client was able to lead while locked up was proof of how deeply corrupt the Paraguayan prison system had become.

'Six or seven justice ministers and six or seven prison directors' took bribes from Pavao, his lawyer alleged.
The lawyer also claimed her client paid for lodgings for prison directors, toilets for the guards, the renovation of the prison library and the cooks' salaries.
In the wake of the scandal, Justice Minister Carla Bacigalupo was sacked almost immediately.

Former NFL player Antonio Armstrong and wife shot dead by 16-year-old son

The teenage son of former NFL player and Miami Dolphins linebacker has been charged with murdering his parents at their home in Houston, Texas.
The 16-year-old was charged as a juvenile andis being questioned by investigators in connection with the deaths of Antonio and Dawn Armstrong, NBC reports.

Armstrong, 42,  who spent a season as a linebacker with the Miami Dolphins, and his wife Dawn were both shot in the early hours of Friday morning. Ms Armstrong died at the scene, while her husband was later pronounced dead at the city’s Memorial Hermann Hospital, having suffered a gunshot wound to his head
Three of the couple’s children were in the house at the time of the shooting, police said, including a 20-year-old son and a teenage daughter, neither of whom were hurt. The suspect called 911 at around 1.30am, shortly after the shooting occurred. His name has not been released because of age.

Police said they did not believe there was any history of domestic abuse in the family. Houston police homicide investigator Jimmy Dodson told KPRC that the Armstrongs were "an outstanding family" adding that Mr Armstrong was an associate pastor at a local church. "He's a great guy. The mother was apparently a great mother, according to family members," Mr Dodson said. "It was kind of the all-American family."
Mr Armstrong had been a college football star at Texas A&M University, and was named an All-American in his senior season as a linebacker for the A&M Aggies. He was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the sixth round of the 1995 NFL Draft but fractured an ankle in training and was released later that year, signing with the Dolphins, for whom he played four games.
A motivational speaker and fitness trainer, he and his wife owned a chain of three gyms called First Class Training in the Houston area. Former A&M head coach RC Slocum said in a statement:
"Antonio was a special young man. He was an all-American and an outstanding player, but he was an even better person. He was such a positive influence on his teammates. He always had a great big smile and a joy to coach"

Man who used hammer to beat turtle to death and claimed it was in self-defense, arrested for 'animal cruelty' & charged $5000

55 year old Terry Wayne Washington, charged with a state jail felony for beating a turtle to death with a hammer on June 21, has claimed he killed the Turtle in 'self defence'. Terry was charged on Tuesday with 'cruelty to a non-livestock animal' after a Facebook video of the vicious attack made its way to police.

"Share this video and get this man caught!” court witness for the alleged 'murder case' Geoffrey Frank posted underneath his video of the incident.
“People like this make me sick to my stomach! He just hooked the turtle, lured it out of the water, and just nonchalantly smashed it to death with a hammer.”

During a June outing to the Lady Bird Lake Hike and Bike Trail in Texas, Terry hooked a big catch and struggled to pull it out of the water, but upon pulling out, it wasn't a fish rather it was a 40 pound turtle.
When Terry saw the turtle, he picked it up and smashed the head of the turtle over 10 times with a hammer despite pleas from onlookers begging him to stop the 'cruel' act.
An affidavit obtained by ABC showed Washington claimed he killed the turtle after it lunged at him and tried to bite him several time.  Terry told the police he attacked the creature out of self-defense and that he wanted to get his fishing hook back.
Terry Wayne Washington’s bail for killing the 'innocent' Turtle was set at $5,000.

Miss Florida USA 2017 stripped of her title shortly after winning because she used professional make up artists

Genesis Davila, 24, won the the Miss Florida USA 2017 competition on July 16, but was stripped of her title just days later for violating the competition rules. According to Grant Gravitt, the pageant's executive director, Davila, defied policy by using professional hair and makeup artists for the competition. Gravitt told Miami's ABC 10:
"We have a zero-tolerance policy on rules," "Whether it's something major or minor, it's all about keeping an equal and level playing field. Unfortunately, our title holder sought an unfair competitive advantage, and that's just not acceptable in our system."
Gravitt says he received multiple complaints from the other contestants that Davila had violated the rules, and found eyewitnesses that corroborate their stories.
"We finally had substantial proof to link her and her vendors to her room on an evening which they were not allowed," he says.
He also said Davila posted photos of her makeup artist and hairdresser on social media, one of which is still up on Instagram.
Davila denied his claims on Monday, insisting that she was just visiting a family friend in her mother's hotel room, not a makeup artist.

"I still feel like I'm Miss Florida USA because I was crowned Miss Florida USA that night," Davila says. "Even though all these false accusations and allegations and rumors have been wandering all over social media, I know that I have proof to show the world that none of this is true."
Davila has hired lawyers to fight the decision, but Gravitt and Miss Florida USA have since awarded the crown to the runner-up, Linette De Los Santos.

Man trapped in deadly floods is forced to make a hard decision, save his wife or his mum. His choice cost him big

A man trapped in devastating floods was forced to make a split second decision - whether to save his wife, 2 kids and sick father or his mum who lived across town as torrential rains swept through China.
Gao Fengshou, 39, knew that a serious storm was on its way to Daxian Village, in Xingtai City of North China's Hebei Province. Even though his family members stayed up worrying about the storm, he made no plans to do anything and instead went to sleep.
Well when the floods started coming in, his wife, 30 year old Zhang Xiaoyan, woke him up to tell him that the house was been flooded, rather than save his wife, 2 children and sick father, the man made the choice to dash across town to save his mother whose old family home was already waist-deep in water and abandoned his wife, kids and his father to their fate.

After he rescued his mother, he found that he could not return to his home as the floodwaters were already up to his chest.
After waiting several hours for the water to recede, he rushed back to his house and was relieved to find Zhang, the kids, aged four and two, and his dad huddled on the roof of the house.

His wife understandably dumped him and he's now begging her to forgive him.

The Daxian village was almost completely wiped out by the flood. At least 112 people died in that flood and 91 others have gone missing .

Dwayne Rock Johnson: The highest paid actor in the world

Professional wrestler turned Hollywood blockbuster mainstay, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, was officially declared the world’s highest paid actor according to the Forbes Celebrity 100.
Johnson, who has garnered quite a tally of top-grossing films in recent years, has brought in a total of $64.5m (£49m) earnings in the 15 years since his silver screen debut in The Mummy Returns. He is ranked 19th on Forbes’ coveted list, on which he first appeared in 2012.

“Receiving news like this will always serve as my anchoring reminder to continue to work even harder,” the Central Intelligence actor said in his announcement on Instagram. “We not only want to ‘embrace the grind’, but take the grind to new levels.”
His drive, he described, is akin to a  "wolf" scratching at the door. "[The wolf is] scratchin' cause he's hungry and never satisfied."
Johnson, 44, has starred in seven films that have grossed more than $100m since he first appeared in the fifth installment of the Fast and the Furious saga in 2011.

Meet Britain's busiest parents

BRITAIN’S biggest family have welcomed baby number 19 to their brood and revealed they won’t rule out rounding the number to an “even 20”.
Superparents Sue and Noel Radford brought newborn Phoebe Willow back to their bustling home after a 40-minute labour, weighing 7lb 15oz.

Beaming mum Sue, 41, told The Sun it still may NOT be her last baby, adding: “Phoebe is so beautiful and I am happy to have her here safely for now – but never say never.”
This echoes Noel’s comments last month when he said: “We don’t plan to not have any more and we don’t plan to have any more. If it happens it happens, that’s how we roll.”
The family do not claim benefits and keep finances afloat through a successful family-owned bakery close by their home in Morecambe, Lancashire.
Phoebe joins siblings Chris, 27, Sophie, 22, Chloe, 21, Jack, 19, Daniel, 17, Luke, 15, Millie, 14, Katie, 13, James, 12, Ellie, 11, Aimee, ten, Josh, nine, Max, seven, Tillie, six, Oscar, four, Casper, three and Hallie, 13-months.
But they consider themselves parents to 19 after sadly losing baby Alfie at 23 weeks into the pregnancy in July 2014.
Parents Sue and Noel with newborn Phoebe
Last night said: “Our friends and family keep saying I should have one to get an even number – so round it off to an even 20.
“I can’t rule it out. At the moment I am happy to have Phoebe with us, she is healthy and a little stunner. We are over the moon to have her here.
“The rest of the kids are lining up to have a cuddle, I find it easy because they muck in so much.
“She slept from 11.30pm straight through until 8am last night and that was her first proper night at home, hopefully it will continue like that. She is shattered from the attention.”
Sue was just 14 when she first found out that she was pregnant over two-and-a-half-decades ago – but they were determined to keep baby Chris as both were given up for adoption from birth.
They got hitched four years later and she was soon expecting their second child Sophie.
Just over a year afterwards they found out that they were expecting Chloe – and babies have been in quick succession even since.
Sue’s typical day kicks off at 6.30am and she doesn’t get to bed until 11pm.
Noel sets off to work at the bakery at 5am to work 11 hour days with the older kids helping out when possible.
The household is ran with military precision – with three big boxes of cereal and three litres of juice consumed before 8am as the kids help each other get ready for school.
At 8.15am Noel nips home to help with the school run and the younger children are piled in the family people carrier.
Sue then returns to the house where she juggles taking care of her babies and toddlers that are too young for school, with around nine wash loads each day.
She goes shopping every day to pick up food and to ensure the fridge is stocked with the 18 pints of milk that the family guzzle every 24 hours.
The family spend £300 per week on food and drink and pride themselves on having no credit cards or items on finance.
They keep the household running on an income from the family bakery and recently launched pie business.
They live in a large Victorian home which was a former residence for adults with learning disabilities, which they bought 11 years ago for £240,000.

TV Firm apologises after cartoon chracter stepping on a page from the Koran sparked outrage

Britain's Channel 5 TV Network has pulled down a cartoon known as  'Fireman Sam' after it showed a character appearing to tread on a page from the Koran. The TV channel has said it had no plans to air it on TV again after receiving backlash from Islamic faithfuls.
The character, called Elvis, slips on some paper on the floor of the fire station in the kids’ animation hit while carrying a tray of hot drinks and several sheets fly into the air, one of which looks to be covered with Arabic script, then Elvis now steps on the paper covered with the script that resembles texts from the Holy Koran.
The episode, called Troubled Waters, was last shown on TV on June 28 and HIT Entertainment, which produced the cartoon, apologised “unreservedly” to viewers.
The firm, which produces Bob the Builder, Pingu and Thomas the Tank Engine, said it had cut ties with the animation company responsible for the mistake.
A spokeswoman for HIT Entertainment said: “It has been brought to our attention that in an episode of Fireman Sam an image of the Koran is briefly depicted.
“The page was intended to show illegible text and we deeply regret this error. We sincerely apologise for any distress or offence it may have caused.”
“We will no longer be working with the animation studio responsible for this mistake.
“In addition, we are taking immediate action to remove this episode from circulation and we are reviewing our content production procedures to ensure this never happens again.”

Here's the Backstory on why Rob Kardashian deleted Blac Chyna photos on his instagram

People were on high-alert today after noticing a change on Rob Kardashian's social media.
The E! star's Instagram had a noticeable difference when people realized that all of Blac Chyna's photos had been taken off, but E! News learns it's nothing to be alarmed about—the pair, who are expecting their first child together, are still in a relationship.
Apparently, this was just the aftermath of a fight between the couple.
"Rob and her have been getting into little tiffs and Blac Chyna flipped on Rob," a source tells E! News. "He was so pissed at how she spoke to him, so he deleted everything about her to hurt her."
The source adds that "Rob has never cheated on her, but she is very paranoid about that from past experiences," and reassures us that they are "fine" now. "[They're] back in love and have spoken through their fight."

The engaged pair are preparing to welcome their baby, and auntie Kim Kardashian gave us an update on the couple as they get ready to welcome a little one.
"They have talked to me about names but I would never tell because that's really personal to them. If they want to share that, they could," Kim told us on Friday. "But we're just there to support them. We're so excited that we're getting a new cousin."
She added, "I was FaceTiming with Chyna the other day and explaining to North [West] that there was a baby in her belly and then sharing the sonogram pictures with North and explaining to her that this is her little cousin and it's so exciting we have a new cousin coming."
Additionally, the mother of two is excited to share some parenting tips with her little brother. "I think they're just starting to get into it, but we share a ton of different baby stuff. I think once it starts happening for them we'll have way more tips, once the baby's here. I'm excited to see my brother in this role as a dad. I think he'll be an amazing dad."

Photo: Two children accidentally switched at birth three years ago return to their biological parents

Two children who were accidentally switched at birth three years ago were returned to their parents in the southern province of Binh Phuoc, Vietnam on Monday, July 25.

The hospital responsible for the mistake is now facing possibilities of a lawsuit as it  mistake caused serious consequences. The hospital would offer each family VND20 million (US$890) and cover fees for previous DNA tests. But both families have rejected the offer, without specifying their demand. Hoang Van Thanh, director of Binh Long Town General Hospital, have apologized to the two families.

Local authorities have also pledged to help both families change relevant identity papers for their children.

Vu Dinh Khien said he had been waiting to get his daughter back, but added that he would continue to support the other child. The other father, Hoang Van Tuan, said the meager amount is insufficient for the damage caused to both families in the past three years.

"I will file a lawsuit against the hospital," he said.

On January 10, 2013, Khien’s wife, Nguyen Thi Thu Trang, and Tuan’s wife, Thi Lien, gave birth to two baby girls at the hospital. Both weighed three kilograms and were mistakenly handed to the wrong mother.

In May, 2016, Trang’s father visited a nearby village and saw a baby who looks exactly like his daughter. Both families then filed complaints to the hospital after learning the truth. Khien admitted that he had doubted his wife’s faithfulness over the past years because the baby girl that they came home with has no resemblance to his family.

British man has lip fillers, Botox and butt implants to look like the kardashian girls - all paid for by his sugar daddies

22 year old James Holt, from Bury, Greater Manchester, has splurged £10,000 on his lip fillers alone to look like the Kardashian sisters. He also spent £3,000 on Botox, £2,000 on cheek filler, filler under his eyes, and filler on his jawline and even said he is willing to have six ribs removed to achieve his ideal hourglass shape.
His first surgical procedure was at age 17, five years after, James has transformed totally.
“I’m going to be really fake looking – that’s the look I’m going for,” he said. I love the Kardashians, especially Kylie and Khloe, but Kim is past it now. I love that big butt and small waist look. Since Kylie started getting big lips a year ago it’s become really fashionable. Mine are bigger than Kylie’s now.”
His first appointment was at a local salon which he had his first bout of Botox and lip injections. He said:

“I went to college the next day expecting everyone to be amazed and to comment on my lips, but no one said anything I went back the next morning and had another 1.5ml put in, but still no one noticed. By the end of the week I had 6ml and everyone said it looked amazing. I loved my look. It was big and juicy and it was just what I wanted.”
After a few days, bubbles started to form on his top lip, resembling a “w” shape. The Filler then began to leak from his pout and he rushed to another clinic in Bury to fix the botched procedure.
Undeterred by the horrific results of his first brush with surgery, he has continued to alter his look.
He now tops up his filler every two months, to keep his luscious lips in prime condition.

He has regular appointments to keep his eyebrows in shape and loves to contour his cheekbones.

When the Kardashians posted a picture on Instagram wearing waist trainers, he rushed out to buy one of his own. Now the moment he wakes, he squeezes into the size eight corset and keeps the contraption on for up to eight hours a day. But so far, he is unhappy with the results.
“I was using it to push the ribs in to make them smaller, but as soon as you take it off it goes back to normal. I want six ribs removed because I think I have too much ribcage. It makes me look bigger than I am.”
Continuing his quest to completely transform his look, James will fly to Poland in August to have a £4,000 nose job. He also plans to have a chin implant, his toes straightened and fat transferred to his behind to create a round bum. Though the procedures do not come cheap, James is spoilt with cash from his three sugar daddies. In return, James gives them scantily clad pictures of the jaw-dropping results. He explained:
“The most I’ve been given is £2,000, but I usually get around £400.“You’ve just got to squeeze as much money out of them as fast as you can. And when they start pressurising you to meet them, you block them.” “My two main sugar daddies know me and have met me, but I’ve not had a sexual relationship with them or any others. I don’t know what they’re getting out of it; they don’t get much from me.They’re just making me happy.”
“Lots of people will do double-takes and whisper stuff to each other. Some are really bold and they’ll come up to me and say, ‘Look at the state of your face’ or ask me if I’m afraid my lips will explode. I don’t care though; if they’re looking, they’re looking. I’m having these procedures to draw attention and occasionally that attention can be negative.”
“I’ll stop at nothing to have these procedures done. My goal is to be loaded and to be in a nice house with a nice car and have all the surgery I want.”
